Generation Z in Jepara is the target of this study, which seeks to understand how information overload contributes to decision difficulty through the medium of social media exhaustion. Generation Z in Jepara is the focus of this quantitative study, which relies on questionnaires filled out by randomly selected participants using the Rao Purba technique. The PLS-SEM approach, along with the Smart PLS version 4.0 application, was used to analyze 310 samples in this investigation. As shown by the findings of this study, there is a positive and significant relationship between information overload and decision difficulty, as well as between social media exhaustion and decision difficulty. The impact of information overload on decision difficulty, as mediated by social media exhaustion, is positively correlated.
